Parallax
Parallax
Parallax is a condition in telescopic sights when the crosshairs are not on the same image plane. This condition then makes the shooter's eye position very important in order to achieve repeated accuracy when shooting. Lower powered scopes tend to have the parallax pre-set at 150 yars, and high magnification scopes tend to have an adjustable objective to correct at various distances.
