Breech-Loading Firearm

Breech-Loading Firearm
A breech-loading firearm is a firearm where the projectile (bullet) is loaded into the rear (breech) of the barrel. Most modern firearms are breech-loading, unlike early firearms which were muzzleloading. Modern firearms are designed as breech-loading because it reduces the reloading time and, in times of battle, this type of loading prevents the user from exposing himself to enemy fire.
