The first time you went hunting with your trusty rifle at your side was probably one of the most exciting times of your life.  You remember your anxiety as you lined up your sight for the first time, adjusted the scope for the most optimal aim, and waited with the most anxious patience you ever experienced before you finally pulled the trigger and discovered how well you knew how to use your hunting equipment.

 

Your rifle scope has always played an important role in your hunting and shooting success and every year more and more technology goes into creating more advanced and more accurate rifle scopes.  You want to stay up-to-date on all of the new and improved features of each scope and on all of the equipment now available to make your shooting abilities as exact as possible.  However, do you ever find that you sometimes have trouble understanding the lingo involved in describing a rifle scope?  Do you feel that the only way you can really understand the features your scope is offering is if you had a special, handy scope dictionary at your site? 

 

For instance, one of the scopes you are interested in offers fantastic optical performance, objective lens, and is waterproof, shockproof, and fogproof.  These things all seem to be positive, therefore increasing the value of the scope, but do you really understand what all of these features do?  A scope article goes on and on about the benefits of click adjustments, magnification, all field view, and precision adjustment but what are these things and why should you be impressed?
